Aceget RECD is an advanced emission reduction system made for DG sets is known as a Retrofit Emission Control Device. Only those DG sets required RECD, which are constructed between July 1, 2004, and June 30, 2023, are now required to have a Retrofit Emission Control Device (RECD) installed. Due to strict CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) rules and growing environmental concerns, it is mandatory to use a RECD.
There are two main components to the RECD:
- The Diesel Oxidation Catalyst works to transform hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide into harmless components.
- The Diesel Particle Filter (DPF) makes sure the cleaner emissions, capturing and oxidizing soot and particulate matter from the exhaust.
